Useful things to include, depending on why you are writing:

  • A larger plan. Roughly how many certificates or endpoints, and how often you need uptime checked.
  • Something broken. What you saw and roughly when. If an alert did not arrive, the delivery record on your dashboard says whether it was sent.
  • A security problem. Put SECURITY in the subject. Tell us before you tell anybody else and we will fix it and credit you.

Common questions

Do I need a card to try it?

No. The free plan watches one certificate forever with no card, and the 14-day trial of the paid features does not ask for one either.

What happens when the trial ends?

Nothing is deleted. Anything over the free limit is paused and shown as paused, and it comes back the moment you upgrade. A monitoring tool that quietly stops watching is worse than one that says it stopped.

Can you watch a certificate you did not issue?

Yes. SSLup connects to the host and reads what is actually being served, so it sees the certificate your visitors see - including one somebody replaced without telling you.

What about hosts that are not on the public internet?

Not yet. Checks run from our server, so an internal-only host is not reachable. Say so on the form if you need it - that is the kind of thing that gets built when enough people ask.

I need more endpoints than the largest plan.

Pick "Larger plan or quote" above and say roughly how many and how often you need uptime checked. Plans past the self-serve ceiling are arranged directly at the moment.

How do I report a security problem?

Pick "Security disclosure" above, or email hello@sslup.io with SECURITY in the subject. Tell us before you tell anybody else and we will fix it and credit you.
